Naza Italia has announced the arrival of the
facelifted Maserati GranTurismo in Malaysia. The four-seater grand tourer,
which gets a small set of revisions for 2018, goes on sale in its MC
(Maserati Corse) form.
Exterior changes are led by a revised front bumper
with a new hexagonal-shaped front grille inspired by the Alfieri concept. The
lower air ducts have also been redesigned, now further separated from the front
splitter, and the car also features restyled headlights.
The units maintain the same profile and LED/bi-Xenon
functionality, but the internals are new – changes include reshaped LED DRLs,
grooved housing in the Xenon lamp areas and the inclusion of a Maserati
inscription in low relief.
At the back, there’s a new bumper with a twofold
layout – there’s a new central diffuser and a pronounced rear lip spoiler to be
found, and a new parking camera also finds its way on as part of the update.
Power is provided by a Ferrari-sourced 4.7 litre
naturally-aspirated V8 engine, which puts out 460 hp at 7,000 rpm and 520 Nm at
4,750 rpm, the power being put to the rear wheels via a ZF six-speed automatic
transmission. Performance figures include a 0-100 km/h time of 4.7 seconds and
a 301 km/h top speed.
Inside, the 2018 update introduces a more sculptured
design in the passenger area of the dashboard, with new stitched leather
finishes to be found, along with Poltrona Frau leather upholstery for the
individual seats. Eight interior colours and five interior trim options are
available, from carbon fibre to black piano and walnut briarwood.
The design of the centre console has also been
revised, and now features a double rotary dial next to the gear lever. The
driving modes button cluster has also been repositioned, now in front of the
gear lever. Other new items include a Harman Kardon Premium sound system, a new
Maserati clock design and an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which
comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.
Sixteen exterior colours are available for the 2018
model year GranTurismo MC, including a brand new three-layer shade called Blu
Assoluto, and there’s no shortage of wheel choices either – a range of 14 light
alloy wheels in six designs, one of which is in forged aluminium, are on the
list, and an exterior carbon package is also offered as well.
Pricing for the Maserati GranTurismo MC starts from
RM 717,800 (without local taxes and duties), and the grand tourer comes with a
five-year, no mileage restriction standard warranty plus a free
five-year/100,000 km maintenance programme (inclusive of a three-year/60,000 km
Maserati Premium Service Plus package), whichever comes first.
