While Vath’s usual tuning jobs do include different
AMG models, their latest project wasn’t originally born in Affalterbach, as
it’s a simple Mercedes-Benz E350d, from the W213 generation. The executive sedan is powered by
a diesel engine, good for 258 PS. With Vath’s upgraded
electronics, it now makes 310 PS and a very impressive 710 Nm of torque.
Having this power upgrade requires spending € 1,190 in Germany, and for a bit more, the tuner can also remove the speed
limiter completely, helping you get unstuck from 250 km/h. Contributing to the eye-catching
yet subtle design of this Mercedes-Benz E-Class are a few discreet exterior
upgrades, such as the lateral flaps and trunk lid spoiler, which cost € 523.60 each, including coating and installation.
The chrome- or black-finished tailpipes, set buyers
back for another € 225, while the “diesel-sound-module” with six
different settings, which provides a deeper tone to the engine, costs € 1,892.10.
Vath’s final technical upgrade brings the entire
ride closer to the road by 15-30 mm, for the price of € 1,017.45. It does however leave enough room under the wheel arches for the
8.5×20- and 10×20-inch rims, front and rear. These have a titan high gloss or
black finish, come with 255/30 and 295/30 tires, respectively, and start at
€ 809.20.
