Lincoln is prepping the Continental for the 2019MY,
more than two years after it officially broke cover in Detroit. According to CarsDirect, pricing
will reportedly start at US$ 47,140, or US$ 985 more than the current model. The base 2019 Lincoln
Continental is said to gain several driving assistance features, such as
automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist and
adaptive cruise control, all of them part of the Co-Pilot360 package.
Going up the range sees the Lincoln Continental
Select become US$ 1,830 more expensive than before, with an MSRP of US$ 56,830. This
grade doesn’t appear to have added anything extra apart from the aforementioned
driving assistance equipment.
Lincoln will be asking at least US$ 60,705 for the 2019
Continental Reserve. The US$ 4,925 price hike is justified by the addition of the
Technology Package, with its HUD, park assist and Climate Package, featuring a
heated steering wheel, heated rear seats and windshield wiper de-icer. The
former was a US$ 4,215 option, whereas the latter used to cost US$ 850. This spec
also gets a Revel sound system, with 13 speakers.
Finally, the top-of-the-line Continental Black Label
will carry a US$ 4,630 premium. Priced from US$ 71,040 for the 2019MY, it adds the
Technology Package as standard, along with the 30-way electrically adjustable
seats, an option that used to cost US$ 1,500.
