Volkswagen has reduced the starting price of the e-Up! in the United Kingdom, where the car can now be had from £ 23,115. The recommended retail price (OTR) drops to £ 19,615 with the Government Plug-In Car Grant. 

According to the automaker, this represents a saving of £ 2,935 over the previous list price, and overall savings of £ 3,250 with the extra gear thrown in.The extra equipment for the 2019 e-Up! are a height-adjustable driver’s seat, new seat trim and reversing camera.


VW’s electric city car has an 18.7 kWh battery pack, which powers a small electric motor. Fully charging it from a standard three-pin plug takes 9 hours, but the time drops to 6 hours when using a 3.6 kWh wall box. 

The e-Up! also comes with a rapid charge point that can charge the battery to 80 percent of its capacity in just 30 minutes. Its maximum range, according to the new WLTP standards, is 134 km.
