Toyota and Daihatsu
are preparing for the presentation of a new crossover model. More precisely at
once to two models. This will be a new compact SUV, developed jointly by two
manufacturers based on the concept of Daihatsu DN Trec. The Daihatsu nameplate
crossover will be produced only in the local market, while Toyota will enter
the global market and will replace Toyota Rush, which is represented in Asian
markets and also developed in conjunction with Daihatsu.
There is no exact
information yet. According to preliminary data, the novelty will be built on
the modern TNGA modular platform, which provides for the possibility of
installing an all-wheel drive system. Dimensions of the model will really be
compact with a length of no more than 4 meters.
As the power unit
can be used 1.0-liter turbo engine with a capacity of about 120 hp or 1.2-liter N/A with 88 hp.
Together with it, a mechanical transmission will be installed, but a CVT can also be offered. The presentation will take place in
November of this year, and immediately from two brands.
