Coming in at mere US$ 14,395, taxes included, the new Chevrolet Spark is now officially the most affordable light passenger vehicle in the USA. Its closest competitor is the Mitsubishi Mirage, which has an MSRP of US$ 15,565 after the facelift.

The rest of the small-displacement crowd isn’t quite as affordable, with the Nissan Versa starting at US$ 15,855, Hyundai Accent at US$ 16,390, and Kia Rio US$ 16,815 (listing only manual transmissions).

Despite this, the Spark counts among the slowest sellers on the used car market in the pandemic-stricken 2020. Perhaps the price drop will make it more attractive to those in need of basic, affordable mobility.
