The MINI Countryman Boardwalk Edition has made its way to Australia, albeit in limited numbers, namely 29 units for the Cooper and 30 for the Cooper S. Pricing starts at AU$ 52,000 (US$ 40,350) for the 1.5-liter three-cylinder petrol engine, which puts out 136 PS and 220 Nm of torque. This version does the 0-100 km/h in 9.7 seconds, returns 6.3 l/100 km (37.3 mpg US) and emits 143 g/km of CO2.
For the Cooper S, customers will have to
pay a minimum of AU$ 58,500 (US$ 45,394). This version is powered by a 2.0-liter
turbo-four making 192 PS and 280 Nm. The 0-100
km/h sprint is dealt with in 7.5 seconds, while average consumption
stands at 6.7 l/100 km (35.1 mpg US) and CO2 emissions at 151 g/km. Both
engines are mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Available exclusively in Deep Laguna
Metallic, the Countryman Boardwalk Edition features exclusive black 18-inch
alloy wheels wrapped in run-flat tires, special side scuttles, and a rooftop
with black rails and piano black accents.
Standard equipment includes LED
headlights, fog lamps and taillights, and a fold-out picnic bench, as well as a
5-inch digital instrument cluster, 8.8-inch infotainment system, Apple CarPlay,
reversing camera, Harman Kardon premium audio, leatherette upholstery, and an
anthracite headliner. The Comfort Access, Driving Assistant, Parking Assistant
and MINI Connected are also included. On top of these, the Cooper S model adds
a radiator grille with black honeycomb insert, John Cooper Works (JCW) steering
wheel, different upholstery inside and adaptive cruise control.
