Here’s the new Kawasaki ZX-10R for 2022, and the primary new feature is the Ninja Metallic Diablo Black, Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Gray, and signature Kawasaki green accents. It’ll still come in the 2021 Lime Green, Ebony & Pearl Blizzard White colourway, too.
When it comes to what else is newm it
doesn’t really appear to be anything of note outside the colour option. Perhaps
a few refinements and touches here and there, but chief on the list is the new
option for a stealthy dark finish. The release also mentions a newly updated
Rideology App interface for smartphone connectivity on the TFT screen. Despite
this, the price has been upped by £ 200 to a total of £ 15,999 for the standard
edition, and £16,999 for the performance edition.
These 2022 models will benefit from the
new aerodynamics package from 2021, creating 17% more downforce at top speeds
achieved from the 998cc inline-four. Peak power remains at 200 bhp at 13,200
rpm, or 210 bhp with RAM air - plenty for the road, truly capable on the track.
The new 2022 models will also proudly display the newly adopted Kawasaki River
Mark, first used with special permission following its ongoing success in the
World Superbike championships with Jonathan Rea - who had a huge hand in
developing the 2021 model.
That River Mark has now been adopted by
Kawasaki Motorcycles as the emblem for the Japanese marque, but its appearance
on the ZX-10R was its first use on a non-supercharged mass-production model.
