Kawasaki’s popular, twin cylinder all-rounder, the Versys 650, is getting a significant makeover for 2022. Most obviously it gets a new, larger front cowling and screen intended to give both better wind protection and more closely resemble its 1000cc bigger brother.
This incorporates a new LED headlight
(there’s also matching LED taillight and indicators) and also houses a new
4.3in colour, smartphone compatible TFT dash. It also now gets a two-way
version of Kawasaki’s traction control system, ‘KTRC’. Otherwise the
affordable, versatile Versys is unchanged, with a 649 cc, 68 bhp parallel twin
engine and fine handling, upright and comfortable chassis being the standouts.
