On its 110th Anniversary, Benelli has dropped the new TRK 800 adventure tourer and what better place to do it than EICMA 2021. The TRK 800 features a rather fluidic design which is sleek and imposing as well. Overall expect the new bike to have tremendous road presence. The overall looks have been kept in sync with the TRK family and hence one gets the unique front end design and beaky mudguard.
The TRK 800 also gets full LED lighting
tech with integrated DRL. Aerodynamic protection is available thanks to a large
adjustable fairing, hand guards and baffles, which provide perfect protection
for both rider and passenger. Benelli say that the slim and spacious seat,
offer generous comfort to both rider and pillion. The fuel tank has a capacity
of 21 litres and there is a 7in TFT colour display as well which serves as the
instrument panel.
The 754cc twin-cylinder, four-stroke
engine is liquid cooled and is the same as the one mounted on Leoncino 800,
with 76.2 bhp and 67 Nm of torque. It features double overhead camshaft timing
with 4 valves per cylinder and 43mm diameter dual throttle body. The
torque-assisted wet slipper clutch and 6-speed gearbox are also worth
mentioning.
The chassis is based on a tubular trellis
frame with a high-strength steel plate. Up front the TRK 800 features Marzocchi
upside-down forks with 50 mm legs, adjustable for rebound, compression and
spring preload. At the back there is an aluminium swinging arm with central
monoshock which is adjustable too. Braking power comes via a Brembo braking
system. There are two 320mm discs up front and a 260mm disc at the back. The
bike rides on a 19in front wheel while at the back there is a 17in unit.
