Chevrolet attracted quite a bit of attention to its Beast ATV at this year’s SEMA show, and Muscle Cars & Trucks just noticed an interesting detail.
Apparently, the off-roader has something
in common with the C8 Corvette. It is not the engine, because while both use a
6.2-liter V8, the Beast’s unit is an LT4 turbo found in the Camaro ZL1 and
rated at 650 PS. The Corvette makes do with a naturally
aspirated LT2 mill with less power and an eight-speed automatic transmission
(the concept has a ten-range box).
Chassis would also be a wrong answer,
because the ATV comes based on the Silverado pickup chassis. But if you said
‘steering wheel’, you may congratulate yourself. The wheel is indeed the same,
although it lacks Corvette controls and sports a simpler logo on the hub.
