Obukhovsky Plant, a part of Almaz-Antei Corporation, has obtained patent rights for Russia’s prospective first battery off-roader, the E-NEVA. Published on the website of the Russian Patent Bureau, the images detail the center console, door panels and ceiling lighting of the electric SUV. The console has an armrest on it, air vents for the rear seat occupants, cup holders, a transmission lever, a start-stop button and other controls. The door panels sport large handles, armrests, pockets and audio speakers. The lighting module on the ceiling consists of a lampshade, an ERA-GLONASS geolocation system, a mic and some more buttons.

Almaz-Antei published some exterior and cabin shots of the E-NEVA Concept just a few days ago, while some more images showing the dashboard leaked online along with the official announcement. The car is road-legal and designed as a part of the Russian corporation’s effort to diversify its business. It currently exists as an early prototype built on a proprietary architecture by Obukhovsky Plant. The platform is said to be suitable for all-electric and hybrid CNG-electric powertrains.

A duo of electric motors drive the wheels with 435 PS. A traction battery rated at 90 kilowatt-hours of capacity grants up to 463 km of range. Getting from standstill to 100 km/h takes only 2.7 seconds, and the top speed lies at 197 km/h. The car is 4.5 meters long and offers 610 liters of trunk space. The interior seats five and has a heads-up display, a 15-inch main infotainment display and a digital dashboard.

Moving on, the company plans to launch a B+ class urban compact and a light commercial vehicle on the NEVA platform.
