Startup firm Beijing Zhixing Box Automobile Co., Ltd has unveiled its first two electric cars at a show in Beijing. Named the IT Box BM400 and BM600, both are meant to serve as taxi vans.

 

There is no second seat next to the driver’s, ensuring that all passengers sit behind the driver and do not distract them. The right side of the dashboard houses a giant display, and another screen sits in the middle, displaying any data relevant for the driver. There is no dashboard in the conventional sense of the word.

 

As far as the technical parameters, the company only reveals the electric driving range: up to 600 kilometers. The BM400 is 4.53 meters long with 2.85 meters of wheelbase offers three seat rows in a 1+2+2 formula for five people total. The BM600 is much larger at 4.9 meters long with 3.1 meters between the axles. The seat formula remains to be revealed, but the startup claims this version support fast battery swapping.
