Stone Offroad Design (SOD for short), a camping vehicle maker from Germany, has unveiled a new motorhome it called Rise 4x4. Based on a Mercedes-Benz Unimog truck, it features a luxury-laden interior barely distinguishable from that of a modern apartment. Get on board to discover a queen’s bed, a kitchen with a fridge, a freezer and an electric cooktop with four rings, and a spacious dining area that you can fold away to make room for another bed. A bathroom with a sink, a shower and a WC is also present.

Making things more interesting are windows in the ceiling and in the walls, a lighting fixture, air conditioning, warm floors and audio speakers all around. Owners can use a dedicated mobile app to control everything.

The original Unimog truck is a serious off-roading lorry with three differentials, a front winch, and capability to wade water up to 122 cm deep, so it should make an excellent basis for the build. SOD retrofits it with plenty of additional LED lights for nighttime driving.

Engine-wise, customers can choose from two diesel engines, a four-cylinder making 231 PS and a six-cylinder making 400 PS. A bracket in the back can be used to carry various large objects, such as a quad bike.

The asking price is € 900,000.
