Automobili Pininfarina’s highly-anticipated Battista is slated to go into production this spring and the company is gearing up for its launch by announcing two new U.S. dealerships. The latest retailers to join the fold are the Newport Beach Automotive Group in Newport Beach, California and Lake Forest Sportscars in Lake Bluff, Illinois. They’ll open dealerships known as Automobili Pininfarina Newport Beach and Automobili Pininfarina Chicago, respectively.
This brings the total number of North
American retailers to nine and that’s notable as the company considers the
United States and Canada as some of their most important markets. Automobili
Pininfarina went on to say each retailer has “extensive track records in
managing the sales and service of the most exclusive and luxurious vehicles in
the world,” and customers will benefit from “dedicated brand representatives at
each site providing exceptional personal service and attention to detail for
the Italian marque’s discerning clientele.”
While North America is a major market for
Automobili Pininfarina, Europeans will enjoy a slightly larger network that
consists of 10 retailers. There will be an additional six dealerships spread
across the Middle East and the Asia Pacific region. Customer deliveries are
slated to begin later this year and, when they do, owners will get to
experience one of the most powerful hypercars ever created. As we’ve previously
reported, the Battista will feature a Rimac-sourced 120 kWh lithium-ion battery
pack which powers four electric motors that produce a combined output of 1,874
hp and2,360 Nm of torque.
In terms of performance, the Battista can
rocket from 0-100 km/h in less than two seconds and 0-300
km/h in less than 12 seconds. Given enough room, the model will eventually top
out at 350 km/h. Despite those impressive numbers, the car doesn’t
slouch on range as drivers can expect to travel up to 500 km between charges.
