A restomod of a Porsche 911 (964) by Rosenberger Classics is up for grabs in Munich, Germany with near-zero mileage and an expected high bid of € 399,900.
The generation 964 used to be in production from 1989 until
1993, and the 911 RST Backdate is a year 1989 example. The restorer had it torn
down to the last screw and dry ice-blasted clean of rust. The stock 3.6-liter
flat-six engine received a pair of superchargers and can now pump out 677 PS, but you can tone down the output to around 500 PS when it is not needed.
A six-speed manual transmission carries the momentum to all
four wheels through a mechanical rear differential and a viscous coupling unit
in the middle. The latter stems from a 911 (993) Turbo.
Elsewhere, the restomod has a part-carbon body and Recaro
Pole Position seats in the interior. The drivers gets a Momo steering wheel and
an FIA-homologated roll cage.
