Geely has unveiled the Binrui Cool, a sports sedan targeted towards the younger audiences. It is essentially a different stylistic spin on the regular Binrui model built on the CMA chassis, like the Coolray SUV.

The Geely Binrui is an affordable saloon that received its latest facelift a year and a half ago. The automaker was originally targeting it towards youth, but the Cool takes things a step further with its bulky front bumper, large air intakes, orange décor, and a Formula-style brake light in the rear diffuser. There is even a fake-carbon rear wing, side canards, LED lights all around and an “upmarket” matte paintjob.

Technical parameters remain unannounced. The car rides on relatively small 17-inch wheels and has modest brakes, but the exhaust system is new, and grippy Continental tires are used all around.

Powering the regular Binrui is a 1.4-liter turbo engine rated at 141 PS and 235 Nm. Higher specs offer CVT, but you can buy a manual version for as low as 79,800 Yuan. Having said this, the Cool version likely packs a sizeable premium over that one. Right now, the range-topping Binrui F-Ultimate maxes out at 109,800 Yuan in China.
