Mini USA today announced that the new Untamed Edition trim will be available for the Mini Cooper S Countryman at a US$ 1,500 premium over standard MSRP. Developed as an outdoorsy offering, it features cool graphics, unique colors, and special trim. Available as a Cooper S Countryman, Cooper S Countryman ALL4, and Cooper SE Countryman ALL4 PHEV, the Untamed Edition builds on the Iconic trim level. It’s offered in a shade unique within the Mini lineup that’s named Momentum Grey metallic. It also features dark plastic guards around the wheel arches, bumpers, and side sills.

The roof, roof rails, headlight housings, and mirror caps are all finished in black, while the grille, headlights, taillights, side scuttles, door handles, tailpipe trim, model lettering, and the All4 emblems are all finished in shiny Piano Black. The side of the vehicle is adorned with four diagonal stripes in Frozen Bluestone, while the side scuttle features a graphic inspired by a mountain landscape. Moreover, the car sits on 18-inch alloy wheels with an Untamed two-tone design that features burnished surfaces that were developed specifically for this model.

 

Inside, the Untamed Edition is decked in shades inspired by nature. That means exclusive Highland Green heated and power-operated Leather Lounge sports seats with blue and green contrast stitching. The pins on the seats’ backrests, meanwhile, get the same mountain graphic that can be seen on the exterior, while illuminated decorative trim is finished in Frozen Bluestone and also features the landscape. Accents throughout the cockpit and on the center instrument cluster are also finished in the same shade while the doors trim strips are done in Arctic Silver metallic and the air vent surrounds are high-gloss black. The floor mats get a three-dimensional embossed landscape pattern in the style of the door sills.

Finally, the model comes with LED headlights with corner function, LED fog lights, the MINI Excitement Package, and MINI Driving Modes. It also gets the Navigation Plus package and a Harman/Kardon premium sound system. Prices start at US $41,900 (US$ 42,750 w/ US$ 850 destination fee) and Mini expects the trim level to go into production this month.
