The 2022 BYD Tang EV will be available later this month priced from 280,000 to 350,000 Chinese Yuan. The crossover now packs a 108.8-kWh traction battery that gives it up to 730 km of CLTC-rated driving range. The number is valid for the longest-range, single-motor modification.

The dual-motor, AWD variant has enough juice for 635 km, but it also packs 517 PS and completes the standard sprint in 4.4 seconds. Finally, the entry spec with only one engine and a smaller battery can still do up to 600 km on a charge.

On the outside, the crossover sports a Dragon Face front fascia, but otherwise stays indistinguishable from the pre-facelift version featured in the video here. It also rides on new 21-inch wheels, but that is about all. For the first time on record, the Tang offers second-row seats with armrests, power adjustments, heat, ventilation and massage all at once. Of course, you may still opt for a regular three-seat sofa and save money doing so.

The middle display measures 15.6 inches corner-to-corner and can be swiveled and rotated between portrait and landscape orientations. The infotainment system supports 5G, and the dashboard is backlit. An assist package called DiPilot provides semi-autonomous driving capabilities.
