Austrian two-wheeler manuacturer KTM is set to launch the 2022 RC 390 in India soon. Now, ahead of the launch, the price of the KTM RC 390 has been revealed on the official website to be Rs 3,13,922 (ex-showroom, Delhi). 2022 KTM RC 390 Changes The KTM RC 390 has undergone quite a few changes for the 2022 model and not all of them are cosmetic. The new KTM RC 390 features a lighter chassis compared to its predecessor. The trellis frame setup with bolt on rear subframe is now 1.5 kilos lighter than the one on the current bike.

Other changes compared to the older-gen bike include raised clip-on handlebars which now sit 15mm higher. This aids everyday riding as it allows the rider to ride the bike in a much more comfortable postion than before while also allowing for better visibility. Owners can lower the clip-on handlebars by 10mm for track use. The other major change comes in the form of larger fuel tank. The 2022 KTM RC 390's fuel tank can hold up to 13.5-litres of fuel up from the previous-gen bike's tank capacity of 10-litres.

The new KTM RC 390 also features a 40 per cent larger airbox and revised engine mapping though the power and torque output of the powerplant remains the same. The KTM RC 390's fuel-injected single cylinder 373cc engine produces 43 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 37 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm which is sent to the rear wheel via a 6-speed manual transmission equipped with a slipper clutch. KTM has also given the 2022 RC 390 a makeover which gives it a rather different visiual identity compared to its predecessor. The changes are most visible at the front of the bike. The new KTM RC 390 dumps the previous bikes vertical twin-pod headlight design for a larger single LED unit with integrated daytime running lights. Also integrated into the fairing of the new RC 390 from KTM are the LED indicator units. The fairing has been tweaked following extensive work in the wind tunnel and now channels the air better, allowing the bike to cut through the air more easily.

Another new item in the 2022 KTM RC 390's arsenal is the new TFT display first seen on the new 390 Duke. The TFT display features an ambient ligh sensor that automatically tweaks the display brightness depending on the light conditions outside. The TFT display also features Bluetooth connectivity. The seats are as before a split unit but now feature a different finish. The wheel size of 17-inches has been retained but the wheels themselves now feature a new 5-spoke design. The RC 390 for 2022 retains the WP Apex suspension setup with 43mm upside down forks with 120mm travel at the front and a monoshock at the rear with 150mm travel. The Ground clearance of the RX 390 is 158mm and the rider's seat is 824mm above the ground. The KTM RC 390 is offered in two colour options - Factory Racing Blue and Electric Orange.
