Chery established the Jetour sub-brand to cater for the younger and more budget-conscious crowd, and the freshly revealed crossover SUV Dasheng is its latest product. The cart is 4,590 mm long with 2,720 mm between the axles. The design is modern and trendy with flush handles, 20-inch rollers and a bezel-free front grille.

Inside, the infotainment unit has a display 15.6 inches across, and a heads-up display with Augmented Reality features comes included in all trim levels. The driver gets a small touchscreen control panel for access to some in-car functions. Sensor-based HVAC controls can be found on the front doors, but you will need to delve into the depths of the infotainment system settings to find advanced climate settings.

 

In its most affordable spec, the Jetour Dasheng comes equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo engine rated at 156 PS and 230 Nm of torque. A higher spec offers a 1.6-liter turbo four-cylinder rated at 197 PS and 290 Nm of torque. A plug-in hybrid resides as the top with a powertrain capable of 326 PS and 565 Nm.
