BMW hopes to broaden the appeal of the 1-Series and 2-Series Gran Coupe with the launch of the new Edition ColorVision package for the two models. urrently announced for Europ, though we could see them being offered in other select markets too, the Edition ColorVision package for the 1-Series and 2-Series Gran Coupe are both based on the pre-existing M Sport models and come with a handful of distinct changes.
For example, BMW offers eight standard
exterior shades or paint finishes ordered through the BMW Individual program,
including Frozen Grey metallic. The special edition models can also be had in
one of 50 colors from the BMW M division, including Dakar Yellow, Daytona Violet,
and Macao Blue.
Elsewhere, both models feature a
three-section lower air intake in the front apron as well as a dark diffuser
and new air outlets on the rear aprons. Striking 18-inch M light-alloy wheels
with a Y-spoke design have also been designed. Customers can also order an
Edition ColorVision package with BMW’s M 50 Jahre emblem. An M sport suspension
system also drops the ride height by 10 mm.
Alterations made to the two models
continue into the cabin and include bi-color Dakota leather trim that is
available in Black/Magma Red and Black/White configurations. The interior also
features embroidered ‘Edition’ badges and there is an M leather steering wheel,
M stainless steel pedals, and a Light package that adds ambient lighting and
floor mats with unique piping. BMW has also crafted exclusive door sill cover
strips for the two models.
All versions of the 1-Series and 2-Series
Gran Coupe can be configured with the Edition ColorVision package. The package
will be available to European customers from July 2022 but BMW has not yet
confirmed how much the package costs.
