Australian engineering firm Premcar is set to expand its range of Nissan-based ‘Warrior’ models for the local market. Nissan Australia and Premcar first launched the successful Navara N-Trek Warrior in Australia a few years ago as the most off-road-oriented variant of the popular pickup. This model was followed up by the Navara PRO-4X Warrior by Premcar last year, a vehicle that we’ll soon be testing.

Premcar has now confirmed that it is working on a new entry-level Warrior model that will be based on the current Navara SL and positioned as a cheaper and more restrained alternative to the full-blown PRO-4X Warrior.

Just a single sketch of the model has been released, confirming that it will be equipped with a large bull bar with LED driving lights and fog lights. We can also see the Navara SL Warrior will feature distinctive black wheels with mud terrain tires while also sporting black graphics on either side of the bed.

A potent Warrior variant of the Nissan Patrol is also being considered. It too has been showcased with a simple sketch that shows the SUV equipped with a handful of new off-road accessories and side-exiting exhausts.

The Nissan Navara PRO-4X Warrior is imported into Australia as a standard Navara before it is sent to Premcar’s Victorian facility and modified to create the Warrior.
