Shortly after the latest-generation BMW X1 was unveiled, the German car manufacturer has released the official configurator for the small luxury SUV. The configurator reflects the available engines offered in Germany. As such, you can choose between the iX sDrive18i, xDrive23i, sDrive18d, and xDrive23d variants. Depending on which model you choose, the SUV can be equipped with xLine and M Sport packages, the latter of which adds a plethora of features including new bicolor 18-inch wheels, the Connected Package Professional, Driving Assistant, M Shadow Line package, and various other trimmings and features.

A host of different color options are also available through the configurator. We have opted for Phytonic Blue when configuring our perfect X1 but a number of other striking colors are available, including two shades of green and the Utah Orange Metallic that adorned the model presented in BMW’s official press photos of the new SUV.

Various interior configurations are offered. We’re particularly fond of the € 700 (US$ 753) option that combines black and red leather. Cream and dark brown trims are also available.

BMW will begin U.S. sales of the 2023 X1 in the fourth quarter of this year meaning the local configurator should be released in the coming months. While European customers have a plethora of engine options at hand, all X1 models sold in the U.S. will come in xDrive28i guise, outfitted with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder producing 241 hp between 4,500 and 6,500 rpm and 400 Nm of torque between 1,500 and 4,000 rpm. This engine is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that helps the X1 hit 96 km/h in 6.2 seconds.
