The Hungarian marque Keeway has launched the Vieste 300 maxi-scooter in India. Keeway says the products received a massive response from the customers. The Vieste 300 maxi-scooter gets an introductory price tag of INR 2,99,000 ex-showroom. The maxi-scooter from Keeway aims to fill the void between maxi-scooter-like options and the more expensive maxi-scooters in the country.
The scooter will come to India as a
completely knocked-down (CKD) unit like Keeway’s other offerings. Keeway will
also assemble the scooter at the same assembly plant as Benelli’s. The Keeway Vieste 300 comes in a single
variant. The max-scooter is available in three colour options – Matte Blue,
Matte White and Matte Black. The pricing starts at INR 2,99,00 ex-showroom for
the Matte Blue colour option. At the same time, the Matte Black option costs
INR 3,10,000 ex-showroom. The range tops out at INR 3,20,000 ex-showroom with
the Matte White colour option.
The Keeway Vieste 300 and SIXTIES 300i will
also come with the Keeway Connect System. The system features an integrated GPS
unit and a SIM card. The system connects to the Keeway application using this
and telecasts the vehicle’s whereabouts anytime and anywhere. Powering the
system is an inbuilt battery. Keeway says the vehicle can accurately track to
2.5-meters of its vicinity and for 3 hours even with the unit disconnected from
the main battery.
The system also includes a host of
features such as setting up a geo-fence, remotely switching off the engine and
setting a max speed limit. Users will also be able to track and maintain ride
records. Additionally, users can also share location information with friends
or family. The system also includes a panic button feature. The feature helps
transmit real-time location to two pre-set contacts via the app. Additionally,
it also sets the process to avail roadside assistance.
The Keeway Vieste 300 gets chiselled
European looks and a powerful engine. Keeway says the maxi-scooter perfectly
meets commuters’ needs. In addition to the looks, it also offers effortless
performance and comfort, all in one package. According to Keeway, the Vieste
300 keeps up with a demanding lifestyle and exceeds a daily urban commuter’s
requirements.
The maxi-scooter gets sleek and angular
bodywork which is functional and also aesthetic. Furthermore, the cockpit and
windscreen provide protection and reduce turbulence at high speeds. At the
front, the Vieste 300 features four LED projector headlights with DRLs. The
rear LED taillights and turn signal indicators sit flush with the bodywork.
Combined with the slim bodywork, they give it a clean European look. You don’t
need to grab the keys to hop on the Vieste 300. The maxi-scooter also comes
with a keyless fob for maximum convenience and safety.
Powering the scooter is 278 cc
liquid-cooled four-stroke engine. The motor produces a maximum power output of
18.7 HP and 22 Nm of maximum torque. The Vieste 300 also features a Continental
Belt Drive system. The latest in drivetrain technology helps provide an
effortless ride. It also comes with a 12-litre fuel tank capacity. Braking is
done by front and rear disc brakes. Additionally, it also comes with
Dual-Channel ABS as standard.
