Gaming brand Razer recently teamed up with NIU mobility to come up with a limited edition electric moped! CEO of Razer Min-Liang Tan announced the collaboration with the said company as he unveiled the NIU X Razer SQi Edition electric scooter on his Twitter account. His post reads, Super excited to announce that we’ve partnered up with @niumobility on a limited-edition NIU X Razer SQi Edition electric scooter. Demand for it has been overwhelming; we've released it yesterday in China and it was all sold out in just 2 seconds!
Based on the renders, the signature NIU
halo headlight is present but the overall design is far from the company's
typical rounded design and flowing lines. At its core, the NIU X Razer SQI
Edition is an electrically-powered smart motorcycle with an optimum speed of 25
km per hour. It weighs over 50 kilograms with a removable battery of 48V with
an approximate range of 65 kilometers so it can be used for daily commutes.
According to the source, NIU is famous for
its quality battery packs. Aside from that, the e-scooter also got several
features including connectivity through the company's smartphone app. Basically,
this feature enables riders to use GPS in locating their bike. They can also
perform battery monitoring, vehicle diagnostics, and settings from their
device.
NIU × Razer SQi gamer e-scooter priced at
CNY 9,999. The NIU X Razer SQi Edition electric scooter is currently sold out
in China until now. There is no news on
whether or not the company will launch it in other regions so stay tuned.
