The next iteration of Hyundai’s flagship sedan – the Grandeur – is scheduled to reach the market in the third quarter of 2023. In the meantime, the car, which allegedly gets AWD in its new version, has shown up on the streets. The prototype is clad in heavy camo, but insiders are reporting that it sports multiple design traits making it look like the first generation. If so, we are looking forward for a retrospective design combining the new and the old.

It is also being reported that the new Grandeur is 5,015 mm long – a bit longer than the 4,930 mm of its predecessor shown in the attached video. Allegedly, it also has zero hardware controls inside, making do with liquid crystal displays and sensor interfaces. This is not certain, though – one of the earlier spy shots had what looked like an audio volume knob. Then again, the gear selector has been moved to the steering wheel.

Rumor has it that a particularly deluxe variant of the Grandeur will be available with two separate seats in the back row, a dimmable panoramic glass roof and Staria headlamps. Buyers will be able to choose from gasoline, hybrid and all-electric powertrain options.
