Haval has come to the Chengdu Motor Show with an SUV called the H-Dog, which joins the existing models Big Dog (DaGou/Dargo) and Cool Dog. The H-Dog is the biggest of the three and is a hybrid capable of 150 kilometers of all-electric range The front end looks similar to that of Big Dog, and the same can be said about the round headlights. However, the H-Dog has distinctly different c-pillars, a shoulder line rising towards the rear end, a slanted roof and larger taillights.
The interior is also different. The
massive center tunnel with its gear joystick and the three-spoke steering wheel
may evoke associations with the other Dogs, but neither has a center display as
large as this. There is also a hint at some off-road capabilities: look for the
grip in front of the front passenger seat.
In terms of dimensions, the car is 4,705
mm long, 1,908 mm wide and 1,780 mm tall with 2,810 mm between the axles. The
letter H indicates electrified (hybrid) powertrain, as do the blue accents
found all around the body. Powering the ride is a 1.5-liter turbo engine and a
single electric motor jointly producing 326 PS and 530 Nm. Depending on your battery choice, the all-electric range will
amount to 50 or 150 km.
All other technical specifications and the
availability date remain to be announced.
