GAC and Nio founded the Hycan car brand in 2018, opening its lineup with a crossover called the 007 and a hatchback named the Z03. A third production model joins them today – a sedan-shaped A06 running on electric power. The car features all-original bodywork and cabin, but uses the same tech as the other GAC EVs. A low drag ratio of 0.217 helps its acceleration and battery range.

The cabin is designed for five passengers and looks like a typical Tesla car interior: hardly any physical buttons, wireless chargers on the center console, a large (14.6-inch) display in the middle and a 10.25-inch digital dash screen.

In its starting spec, the sedan utilizes a single electric motor rated at 184 PS and 225 Nm of torque. Its 63-kWh traction battery grants it up to 550 km of NEDC-rated driving range. Paying extra gets you a middle-ground spec with 218 PS and 630 km of range. The range-topping Hycan A06 packs dual electric motors, AWD and enough juice for 560 km of uninterrupted driving.
