The Hyundai Ioniq 6 is available with either a single electric motor or two electric motors The 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6 starts from £ 46,750 (US$ 57,358) in the UK and tops out at £53,745 (US$ 65,941), the South Korean car manufacturer has confirmed. Sitting at the base of the British range is the Ioniq 6 Premium Rear Wheel Drive. Like all other models, it is based on Hyundai’s E-GMP platform and makes use of a 77.4 kWh battery pack that supports an 800-volt system and a 350 kW charging system. As a rear-wheel drive mode, it features a single electric motor with 225 hp and 350 Nm of torque.
The next variant available is the Ioniq 6
Premium All Wheel Drive that has all of the same features as the single motor
variant but instead has electric motors at both the front and rear axles,
resulting in a combined 320 hp and 605 Nm. This model starts at
£ 50,245 (US$ 61,646). Shoppers looking for a little more luxury can order the
Ioniq 6 in either Ultimate Rear Wheel Drive (also £ 50,245 / US$ 61,646) or
Ultimate All Wheel Drive (£ 53,745 / US$ 65,941) guises. A host of additional
features are found on the Ultimate, including flush-fitting door handles,
eco-leather seat trim, driver’s seat position memory function, relaxation front
seats with ventilation, a sunroof with electric tilt and slide operation, blind
spot view monitor, driver’s head-up display, surround view monitor, remote
smart parking, parking collision avoidance assist, and a Bose premium audio
system with 7 speakers and a subwoofer.
A handful of other features are unique to
the Ultimate, including LED steering wheel lights that are activated while
using voice guidance, selecting reverse gear, displaying EV charging status,
and providing a vehicle welcome and goodbye. Active Sound Design technology is
also standard on the Ultimate while shoppers can option digital side mirrors. Both
Hyundai Ioniq 6 Premium and Ultimate models are available in 11 different
colors with Byte Blue Peal the only no-cost option with other pearl and
metallic options adding £ 585 (US$ 717) and Gravity Gold Matte and Nocturne Grey
Matte adding £ 685 (US$ 840).
Both variants of the Ioniq 6 come loaded
with standard features. These include Blind Sport Collision Avoidance Assist,
Forward Collision Avoidance Assist with Car, Pedestrian, Cycle & Junction
Turning, Highway Drive Assist Level 2, Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, Lane
Follow Assist, Lane Keep Assist – Line and Road Edge, Parking Collision Avoidance
Assist-Reverse and Forward, Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, and
a Tire Pressure Monitoring System.
