The upcoming 2024 Opel Corsa facelift has been snapped testing out and about as it inches towards its reveal, likely to take place in the first half of next year. This update for the sixth generation of the popular supermini has been in the works for some time and could prove to be significant in boosting sales, particularly since Ford is axing the Fiesta next year, providing Opel with the perfect opportunity to increase its market share with the 2024 Corsa.
The test car you see in the photos uses
camouflage across its front fascia, meaning it is hard to get an exact gauge of
what updates have been made. However, CarScoops understands that the fascia
will adopt a similar ‘vizor’ design to the Crossland, Grandland, and Astra. As such,
expect to see a set of angular headlights with striking LED daytime running
lights that sit alongside a gloss black grille.
This new fascia will dramatically
transform the overall look of the 2024 Opel Corsa and make it that much more
appealing to young buyers. Curiously, this example has very little camouflage
across its rear. Indeed, the taillights appear identical to the pre-facelift
model. This could either be because they will go unchanged for the new model
year or if they are tweaked, the overall shape of them will remain the same and
only small internal design modifications will be made. That’s a shame as we
would have loved to see it receive similar LED taillights to the Astra.
Opel is expected to make some minor
updates to the interior of the 2024 Corsa, likely including the fitment of a
new infotainment system. Few, if any, changes will be made beneath the
bodywork. This means the 2024 Corsa will likely be offered with three-cylinder
petrol, four-cylinder diesel, and all-electric powertrains.
