Buick confirmed back in November that its Envista crossover SUV would be made available in the United States, and now, a camo-free prototype was spied in driven around Michigan. As it stands, the Envista is a China-only model produced locally with a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine under the hood. A CVT gearbox conveys 184 PS to the front wheels, letting the SUV hit 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds. It remains open whether the U.S. version will stick to the same transmission type, though.

On the outside, the test car in the gallery below looks identical to its Chinese counterpart. Judging by the badge at the rear end, the trim level is ST. The tailgate actually has a tiny patch of camo on it for whatever reason.

It is unclear when the Envista may debut in the USA, but we expect it to do so before the end of 2023.
