Chery has posted the first interior sketches of its all-electric crossover SUV, provisionally known as the eQ7, which is expected to debut later this year. AutoHome reports that the model will feature an original front panel layout dominated by a large display and become the flagship of the Chery eQ lineup.

The images show a screen recessed into the dashboard, which is quite unusual as design solutions go. It looks like it consists of two displays installed side-by-side.

The center tunnel has two wireless charging pads, a couple of cup holders and a compartment for miscellanea where you’d expect to find hardware controls and the drive mode selector. It looks like the central touchscreen will be responsible for those functions instead. The only physical buttons in sight are located on the spokes of a squared-off steering wheel.

All technical parameters remain yet to be revealed, but we have seen exterior sketches before. It is assumed that, despite technically being a flagship, the eQ7 will be a mid-size SUV. Its junior cousin, the Chery eQ5 seen in the attached video, ships with a choice between two electric motors rated at 177 PS and 204 PS.
