The current generation of the Ford F-150 is already several years old, so Ford is working on a planned update. This puts the top Raptor R spec in a weird situation where it is also getting an update less than a year from launch.
The spy photos below let us appreciate the
changes coming to the R version. You may argue that there is no direct evidence
of this particular F-150 being the R spec, but the guys over at Automedia claim
they heard the V8 rumble loud and clear, and that one is Raptor R-exclusive.
Most of the novelty can be
found at the front and at the rear ends. The radiator grille grows larger, the
bumpers get updated and the headlights are poised to get minor modifications as
well. In turn, the taillights look strongly inspired by the F-150 Lightning. The same could apply to the interior as
well, which appears to be hiding a vertical touchscreen display.
