The new iteration of the Mercedes GLC debuted in the summer of 2022, but it did not have any special editions or spinoffs – until now. Meet the GLC L, a stretched variant for customers in China. The SUV enjoys 89 mm of extra wheelbase and 110 mm of added body length. The rear end looks noticeably different with more upright c-pillars, a raised roof and a less slanted tailgate glass.
Although there is now technically a third
seat row, you can fold it down when not used. There is a console separating the
seats with cup holders and USB ports in it. Should you not need the extra
seating, you can order the GLC L with just two rows.
The standard equipment list includes a
12.3-inch digital dashboard and an 11.9-inch vertical infotainment display.
Paid options include the AMG Package and a heads-up display.
Power is supplied by a 2.0-liter
four-cylinder turbo assisted by a 48-volt electric starter. There are two boost
options: 204 PS and 258 PS. A nine-speed
automatic transmission sends the momentum to all four wheels.
