Aeolus, a sub-brand owned by Chinese automaker Dongfeng, has revealed the first images of an upcoming crossover SUV obviously styled to appeal to the younger audiences. And if you are still not convinced, check out the word ‘Young’ written in huge letters on both sides.

That aside, the SUV strikes a rather sporty stature with slanted c-pillars and smallish side glass. The camo prevents any conclusions about the front end, although the headlights appear slim and the radiator grille seems to be reversely tilted.

More specifically still, it looks like a solid panel and not a grille, suggesting that the Young could be an EV. AutoHome.cn contradicts this assumption citing its own sources saying it will ship with a Dongfeng Mach Power engine designed in-house. The 1.5-liter mill finds use in such models as Shine Max and Aeolus Haoji, where it produces 204 PS. We wouldn’t be surprised to see the same engine used as a part of a hybrid system, either.

AutoHome believes the car may be called Aeolus Haohan. We will learn more when it debuts – unfortunately, there is no specific date as of yet.
