Following a bunch of patent shots posted by the China Ministry of Industry last fall, Cadillac has now released some official photos of its new CT6 sedan, showcasing its interior with a 33-inch dash display. According to AutoHome, the model will go on sale in mid-summer and be available exclusively in China.
The exterior of the car is in line with
the industry’s latest design and technological trends. The radiator grille is
slightly less pronounced, the headlights are two-tier with large vertical DRLs
in the bumper, and the overall outlines are softer. The retro windowlets in the
c-pillars are still present, though.
A peek inside reveals a reworked
transmission tunnel, a modded steering wheel and a giant curved display that
looks borrowed from the automaker’s Lyriq EV. If so, then it should be 33
inches diagonal size. The company promises us the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon
chipset for the infotainment system, a plethora of modern cloud services and
improved self-driving.
The chassis is also shown below, but it
looks like there is hardly anything new in that department. The car still
measures 5,223 mm long, 1,890 mm wide and 1,473 mm tall with 3,109 mm between
the axles. Its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-pot still delivers 237 PS to the wheels through a ten-speed A/T. Adaptive suspension rounds off
the list.
