Geely has facelifted its Okavango L SUV, also known as the Haoyue L, for the next model year. The car has a much better infotainment system now, while the powertrain options stay nearly the same. Starting with the biggest change, the multimedia hardware now makes use of a more powerful CPU and runs on a more recent OS for an overall smoother, faster infotainment experience.
A new 14.6-inch touchscreen display comes
to replace the old 12.3-inch unit, and the unpopular brownish interior trim is
no longer available. You can now order a red one instead.
Since the original Haoyue L only debuted in China less than a year ago, Geely hasn’t changed too much in
the powertrain department. Like before, the SUV uses a 2.0-liter turbo engine
to drive the front wheels with 218 PS and 325 Nm of torque through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Even so, the updated
version of the engine runs well on ON92 gas (the old version required ON95+)
and has better economy overall.
