Automaker Subaru has joined forces with hunting goods supplier Frankonia to unveil a unique Forester SUV created with avid game hunters in mind. The car has already been auctioned off and is in private hands now.
Compared to the stock SUV, the one-off show
car wears off-road tires wrapped around 18-inch alloys and has a well-appointed
trunk area with a game tub, a plastic box for carrying stuff around, and a
towing rope. The ground clearance stays untouched because Subaru believes it’s
adequate for dirt roads as it is.
The interior stays mostly stock with
heated leather seats and little else of interest. A flat-four engine delivers
150 PS at the crank and receives assistance from an electric
starter generator. The entire body is wrapped in an olive-green wrap. The
pricing details aren’t available, and you cannot buy another car like this.
Having said that, you can start with a stock Forester and just buy the relevant
Frankonia supplies for it.
