Chery has announced the start of production of its all-electric crossover SUV known as the Sterra ET on its domestic market and the Exeed Exlantix ET outside of it. AutoHome says that sales should begin later this quarter. The five-seater SUV runs on the E0X platform, same as the Exlantix ES sedan. It is sized 4,955 x 1,975 x 1,698 mm large with 3 meters between the axles.
Customers in China will be choosing from
four powertrain options. The two base versions will utilize a single motor at
the rear axle with 252 PS. The standard-range version will
offer 550 km of range and the long-range one will offer 650 km.
The middle-ground spec will boost the RWD
output to 313 PS and will be able to cover up to 760 km on a charge according to the latest Chinese standard. The flagship spec
will utilize the same battery pack as the one mentioned above, but its 561-PS dual-motor powertrain will drop the range expectation to 655
km. All prices should be announced in March this year.
