Indian automotive giant Mahindra & Mahindra has patented the exterior of its next all-electric coupe-SUV, the XUV.e9. The car itself won’t arrive in the market until next year, Rush Lane reports. Back in 2022, the company previewed five all-electric concept cars created on a platform named INGLO – essentially Volkswagen’s MEB chassis adapted to the needs of the Indian market. The XUV.e9 was among those five concepts.

Judging by the patent image, the production version will be getting C-shaped daytime running lights and a solid light bar where the front fascia meets the hood.

According to unofficial reports, there will be a trio of 12.3-inch displays on the dashboard and a dual-spoke, multi-function steering wheel. Power for the ride will be provided by two e-motors rated up to 300 PS. As Mahindra’s next performance flagship, the XUV.e9 will be able to reach a top acceleration of 200 km/h and cover roughly 500 km on a charge.
