The collaboration between tech giant Huawei and automotive manufacturer BAIC has given birth to a new luxury electric sedan, tentatively named “Jie Pai”. The brand of the Huawei-BAIC collaboration is called “Xiang Jie (STELATO). Spy photos released by tipster “Garage 42” offer a glimpse into the design and features of the upcoming vehicle. This sedan reportedly targets a price above 400,000 yuan.
The new car, positioned as a
“medium-to-large luxury pure electric sedan,” shares design elements with the
Luxeed S7 (Zhijie S7), featuring a large arc roof and sleek lines. However, it
boasts a more substantial appearance and a stable attitude.
Expected to offer two rows of
independently adjustable seats and electronic exterior mirrors, the Xiang Jie
aims to deliver a premium driving experience. Spy photos reveal both
traditional rearview mirror models and electronic exterior rearview mirror
models, indicating a blend of classic and modern design elements.
Previous spy photos released by “Torpedo
2954” showcased a cockpit layout reminiscent of the Zhijie S7, with a sunshade
atop the LCD instrument area. This familiarity in design suggests a seamless
transition for consumers familiar with BAIC’s existing models.
The anticipation surrounding the new car
has been building, with investors eagerly awaiting details on BAIC Blue
Valley’s new product plans. BAIC has confirmed that the first model resulting
from its collaboration with Huawei’s smart selection model will debut at the
Beijing Auto Show in April 2024. Positioned as a high-end smart pure electric
sedan, the unveiling of this new vehicle marks an exciting milestone for both
companies.
