Suzuki has unveiled a special edition of the Jimny LCV in Germany, serving as a farewell to the tiny off-roader in its current non-electrified form. The Suzuki Jimny Horizon, limited to 900 units, features a body kit and an extensive accessories package. The Horizon stands out from the standard Jimny with its retro-flavored grille featuring Suzuki lettering, aluminum-style skid plate on the bumper, matching side skirts, and Suzuki-branded spare wheel cover. Additionally, the model includes a set of mud flaps, complementing the black steelies.
The special edition is exclusively
available in the pictured Medium Gray shade, paired with black decals. The
accessory package includes a removable trailer hitch for those who want to use
the ladder-frame off-roader for towing. As for the interior, the two-seater
configuration and flat floor allow for up to 863 liters of
cargo space.
Under the hood lies the familiar
naturally-aspirated 1.5-liter gasoline engine, producing 101 hp and 130 Nm of torque. For the Horizon, this four-pot can only be
mated to a manual gearbox, sending power to all four wheels. The local emission
regulations have forced Suzuki to offer the Jimny only in LCV form in Europe
and the UK since 2021. The 900 units of the Suzuki Jimny Horizon are now
available at select Suzuki dealerships in Germany, priced at € 32,340 (US$ 35,000).
For context, the base price for the Jimny in the German market is € 29,490
(US$ 32,000).
This upgrade would allow it to comply with
strict emission regulations in Europe and be available as a passenger vehicle
with rear seats. Additionally, Suzuki has confirmed that a fully electric
version of the Jimny is under development, and will arrive sometime before
2030.
