2014
Hesketh 24 Limited Edition
Hesketh
Motorcycles launched the 24 in 2014, the company’s first all-new model in
thirty years. The 24 celebrated the Iconic British brand’s Formula 1 and racing
roots and sported the same paint scheme as the Hesketh 308 F1 car driven by
none other than the extravagant James Hunt, steering it to victory in the 1975
Dutch Grand Prix.
While
Hesketh has already sold 16 of the 24 limited-run units of the ’24’ motorcycle,
they have already started preparing for an even more exotic machine for 2016.
The company’s boss Paul Sleeman is confident in selling the remaining units by
the end of 2015, even though each machine carries a hefty £ 35,000 (US$ 39,800)
price tag.
‘If
the 24 is like an Aston Martin, we are working on a Bugatti Veyron’, said Paul
Sleeman in an interview. This might mean that the new machine would have an
even more outrageous price tag that the current 24. While the company has
currently not let out any further information regarding the new motorcycle, it
is believed that the new machine would be a complete rebuild from the ground
up, which it should be, if the prices are to be kept ‘Bugatti Veyron’ -like
outrageous.
Lets
hope that it’s not just the price that is outrageous, and the performance of
the new machine matches it’s price tag.
