PGO
Hemera
The
PGO Hemera was unveiled at the 2008 Paris Motor Show - fitting due to the fact
PGO is a small-scale French manufacturer. The model is based on the same
multi-tubular chassis as the company's previous models, the Speedster II and
Cevennes.
In
the words of PGO: "the PGO HEMERA is a mix of a “coupé” and a shooting
break. Elegant, refined, with its dazzling design and distinct urban
style".
The
styling of the PGO Hemera's composite moulded bodyshell is heavily influenced
by classic Porsche models, especially at the front where the resemblance is
more than fleeting. At the rear the characterful design is original, but also a
little odd, not ugly, just unique.
Powering
the lightweight, diminutive Hemera is a mid-mounted, 140 horsepower, 2.0 litre
Peugeot-sourced engine coupled to a 5 speed manual gearbox (a 4 speed auto is
optional). This drivetrain gives the Hemera a 0-62 mph time of under 7 seconds,
and a top speed in the area of 125 mph.
The
interior of the PGO Hemera is extremely well equipped for a low volume manufacturer
and features among other things; leather seats and trim panels, air
conditioning, CD/MP3 player, tracker and immobiliser, electric mirrors, remote
central locking, adjustable steering column, sports steering wheel, and full
dash instrumentation.
