GMC Sierra Elevation Edition
GMC
has introduced the 2016 Sierra Elevation Edition. Based on the Sierra double
cab, the Elevation Edition has a monotone appearance as it features body-color
bumpers, mirrors and door handles. The
special edition also has a remote locking tailgate, black recovery hooks and
20-inch aluminum wheels with a black finish.
Interior
changes are relatively limited but the truck features a six-speaker audio
system, a 110-volt AC power outlet and Wi-Fi hotspot. The model also has an IntelliLink
infotainment system with seven-inch display and Android Auto/Apple CarPlay
compatibility.
Power
is provided by a 4.3-liter EcoTec3 V6 engine which develops 285 bhp (212 kW)
and 305 lb-ft (413 Nm) of torque. Buyers
looking for something more powerful can order the optional 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8
engine with 355 bhp (264 kW) and 383 lb-ft (518 Nm) of torque.
The
truck can be ordered with rear- or four-wheel drive and both versions feature a
standard Eaton locking rear differential.
According
to Buick and GMC Vice President Duncan Aldred, “The Sierra Elevation Edition
offers a boldly styled pickup for customers who want a truck that looks as good
as it perform. With its muscular design details, inherent truck capabilities
and premium technology features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
capability, Sierra Elevation improves on an already comprehensive package.”
The
Sierra Elevation Edition will go on sale in the first quarter of 2016 and
pricing will be announced closer to launch.
