Rapid ‘Anniversary Edition’
Skoda
India has launched the Skoda Rapid ‘Anniversary Edition’ at a starting price of
INR 6.99 lakh (US$ 11,489).
The
changes are minimal, with the exterior getting visual differentiators such as
black decals on the lower portion of the door and a contrasting black roof. The
interior features exclusive wooden trim.
Skoda
has fitted the Elegance Plus trim with the TrackPro car tracking system while
dual front airbags have been made standard across the range; enhancing the
safety quotient of the sedan.Several equipment such as a 2-DIN audio player
with support for Bluetooth and smart phone connectivity, adjustable dual rear
AC vents, cruise control and a fully adjustable steering wheel, are also
offered.
The
TrackPro device available only on the Elegance Plus will be synced with the car
enabling the customer to stay updated on the location of the vehicle. Through
the web, the user will also be able to track and obtain vehicle location live
through 24×7 SMS, record vehicle trip history, assign over speed limit and
boundary alerts and update tracking configurations like owner’s number, vehicle
registration IDs etc.
The
owner will also be able to set-up mobile alerts to be notified whether the car
is getting towed, over speeding, entering and exiting boundaries, and whenever
the tracking device is disconnected or re-connected with the vehicle.
