Gratour and Toano
At
Foton’s ‘Big Show’ in Philippines, the company has launched the Foton Gratour
and Foton Toano vans, which accompany the debut of their first SUV, the Foton
Toplander.
Foton Gratour
The
Foton Gratour measures 3,915 mm long, 1,725 mm wide and 1,845 mm tall with a
wheelbase of 2,500 mm. It features large headlamps, dual slat body-colored
grille, deep lower bumper, and sliding rear passenger doors. Foton claims that
the Gratour offers best-in-class passenger space.
The
Gratour sources power from a 1.2-liter petrol engine that delivers 85 hp and
112 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. It is mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
The
Foton Gratour is priced at PHP 490,000 for both the 7- and 8-seater
models, and is only available in the V5 variant.
Foton Toano
The
full-size Foton Toano van is, apparently, designed by the team responsible for
the original Mercedes Benz Sprinter.
The
Toano can seat 18 occupants, and is offered in various chassis
configurations to suit a customer’s preferences. In addition, the Toano comes
with various different wheelbases and roof tops.
Safety
has been prioritized in the Toano, featuring ABS with EBD, rear cameras
and sensors. The Toano also comes with high-strength steel plates,
anti-collision beams, three-point pretensioner seat belts for all passengers,
and an energy-absorbing steering column.
Powering
the Toano is a 2.8-liter ISF Cummins CRDi Euro IV engine delivering 160
horsepower and 360 Nm of torque. The sole gearbox is a six-speed manual
enabling it to achieve a mileage of 11.5 km/l according to Foton.
