Bimota Tesi 3D Café Racer Carbon

Bimota motorcycles have been known for their alternative-front-suspension and hub-centre steering arrangement. Base on the same, the exclusive Italian motorcycle manufacturer has launched the new Tesi 3D Café Racer Carbon at the EICMA 2015 motor show.

The new motorcycle features fresh styling that has lots of CNC-machined bits such as the large side plates that form the primarty platform on which the front and rear swing arms attach to the chassis. The new swing arms are made of aerospace-grade carbon fiber. Both the front and rear are supported by Ohlins shocks that can be altered to adjust the ride height to up to 9 mm at the front and 14 mm at the rear.

With the new Tesi 3D Café Racer, Bimota continues the use Ducati L-Twin engines, this time replacing the 1,100 cc unit with a newer 803 cc unit from the Ducati Scrambler. Bimota has altered the engine’s fueling by replacing the single throttle body from the original engine with twin units that help increase the volumetric efficiency. Bimota claim that the Tesi 3D Café Racer will produce 80 bhp of power that will propel a total dry weight of 161 kg. Further details on pricing and availability are yet to be announced by the company.
