RANGER
EV Li-Ion Polaris Pursuit Camo
Polaris
Industries Inc has introduced the pure electric RANGER EV Li-Ion Polaris
Pursuit Camo that features an Lithium-ion battery. This is a result of the
company’s acquisition from Brammo Inc. which is an electric vehicle
manufacturer based in Oregon USA.
The
RANGER EV offers more than three times of the total battery lifespan of
traditional lead acid batteries. The battery pack offers a range of up to 80 km and is lighter by 210 kg when compared to Polaris’ lead
acid battery cousin.
The
off-road EV features a 48-volt, high-efficiency, AC-induction motor. The driver
can select from three driving modes: High Mode for everyday use, Low Mode for
hard worl and Max Range Mode for getting maximum range. There’s also a new
battery management controller that displays the accurate status of the
batteries.
A
Vehicle Control Module (VCM) makes the integration of accessories like Polaris
Interactive Digital Display and Electronic Power Steering Kit easier to
install. Onboard diagnostics makes servicing easier.
It
pure electric off-road utility vehicle offers 37.8 L of in-cab storage,
a towing capacity of 680 kg and payload carrying capacity of 453.6
kg. Polaris’ very own On-Demand True All-Wheel drive has also been
incorporated in the vehicle to provide additional traction.
The
front suspension features a MacPherson strut and the rear gets an indipendent
setup that enables 10 inches of ground clearance ensuring the vehicle is at
ease in difficult situations. The RANGER EV Li-Ion Polaris Pursuit Camo is set
to join other electric vehicles in Polaris’ range and will become available at
dealerships in September.
